    I really like your photo for multiple reasons.
    One of these reasons is because of the angle, it adds great emphasis, and when you look at it the ground looks like it has three levels/steps too it.
    I also like the contrast, shadows, it also makes a great effect for the eyes.
    I think that the layout could have been set up a bit different so that you could see the faces or you could have even done a "worms eye view" instead of a "Birds eye view".
